Be The Kind of Parent You
Want To Be
Parenting doesn’t come with a manual.
We all start with good intentions, yet habits from our past can sneak in and create battles we never wanted. Without conscious effort, it’s easy to slip into the old authoritarian style many of us grew up with—often bringing more conflict and less connection.
Colibri Parent Coaching and Consulting helps you understand where those patterns come from, work through your own story, and build a calmer, more connected way to parent.
Break the Cycle
Do your healing so your kids don’t have to carry it forward.
Build Real Trust

More Peace at Home
Bring calm, clarity, and mutual understanding to everyday life.
It’s Never Too Late to
Turn Things Around
No matter what your relationship with your child(ren) looks like right now, there is hope.
Depending on where things are at, it can be hard to believe there is truly another way. But we promise you there is.
None of us start off as parents knowing what to do. We create plans, try to be the people we want to be and watch as our idealistic imaginings get run over by the reality of daily life and the immense pressures of caring for our kids.
"After coaching sessions with Gina at Colibri, our house feels calmer. We argue less, and I actually know what to do in tough moments. Her tips were simple and they worked."

"Jal’s Transformational Coaching Program has given me fresh perspectives beyond my traditional approach to parenting. I’ve learned about brain science, nervous system science, empowered communication, setting healthy boundaries, and many other valuable topics. I’m deeply grateful to have Gina as my coach — she is incredibly supportive, caring, and insightful. I highly recommend this program to any parent who wants to build a stronger, more connected relationship with their children."

Hi! I’m Gina
I became a parenting coach because I was determined to have a different kind of relationship with my kids than I had growing up. As I learned how to build trust, understanding, and calm, dependable support at home, everything changed—my girls are adults now, we’re more connected than ever, and I see them using these same skills in their own relationships.
For 18 years I’ve been a special educator, supporting students and the adults who love them. I’ve walked alongside parents through their children’s big emotions, and I’ve worked with bio-families, adoptive families, and grandparents raising their grandchildren. That experience shapes everything I do—practical tools, gentle accountability, and a deep respect for each family’s story.
I’m passionate about helping other parents do this, too. Every child deserves a caregiver who’s present, steady, and loving-the best version of us. If you want a calmer, more connected relationship with your kids, we can reimagine patterns together and build something new that actually works in real life.
The traditional
‘power-over’ model
of parenting
isn’t working.
It makes you feel like you’re not doing a good job.
But that's not the truth.
I believe that the real issue is that we’re not taught how to be the kind of parents most of us long to be so we end up slipping into the patterns that were ingrained in us in our own childhoods.
Which is why when you contact me, you will be met with understanding, a non-judgemental openness and a supportive, personalized, effective plan that I will personally guide you through every step of the way.
How It Works:
When you book a call with us, we’ll sit down together and talk so we can get a sense of what’s going on for you and your family and where we can offer support.
We’ll explain our approach and the options we have for working together. You can ask any questions you have and see what type of support would be the best fit for your life and schedule.
If it feels right to you, we can book our first session and get started. If it’s not a good fit, we will do our best to offer alternative resources or suggestions for support, wherever possible. There’s no pressure of any kind, simply an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.
"Working with Gina has been a truly transformative experience. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her work, and it’s clear that she genuinely cares about the families she supports. Her warm and compassionate approach creates a safe, non-judgmental space where it’s easy to open up and feel understood. She listens deeply, offers thoughtful guidance, and helps navigate even the most difficult situations with empathy and clarity
